Welcome to the Blairgowrie and District Hillwalking Club (BDHC) blog.
This has been set up to allow members of the committee to provide information and discussion directly without having to rely on updates being made on the main web site.
It also has the advantage that club members (and others) can add comments to any of the published articles or pages and so start a discussion. It is a good forum to get your ideas and thoughts across to the committee and other members.
It will also have information about any last minutes changes to any Club event – so, check it before making final arrangements for your meet or club event!
The blog is moderated – that is, any comments are subject to review by the administrator or an editor (these are all committee members) – so be moderate with your language otherwise your comments may be moderated into the depths of cyberspace.
The blog allows two types of articles:
- A post which is the most immediate and usually short which appears on the main part of the screen in date order.
- A page which is usually a longer article and usually linked to one of the tabs at the top of main page. This page is an example of a page !
It is possible to add photos, sound and movie clips to articles and we will investigate how best to use these features as time goes on.
